Leicester-based waste management company, AE Burgess & Sons Ltd is continuing to expand its trade waste services with additional refuse vehicles supplied by Gloucestershire-based Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS).
Since taking delivery of a Quality Used Mercedes Econic refuse truck (pictured) at the end of last year the company has gone on to order a second vehicle in the same specification.
Rob Gundle, Director, AE Burgess & Sons Ltd said: “The finish on the Quality Used vehicle is fantastic and interior is second to none. How they managed it I don’t know! We’re looking forward to receiving the next one.”
The company has also had one of its existing vehicles remanufactured by RVS, replacing a Terberg Split Lift for a Dennis Beta Trade Lift.
Added Rob: “They completely remanufactured the back end of the vehicle overhauling the blade, the body, the electrics and packer. It’s running like new now.”
A family run business since 1850, AE Burgess started out collecting scrap metal and then moved onto a Skip Hire service in the late 1960’s. The company expanded its Trade Waste services in 2012 with the purchase of its first trade waste vehicle from RVS.
Rob Gundle added: “Customers started asking us if we could collect wheelie bins as well as skips and large containers so we looked around for a vehicle. Spencer’s name came up time and again so we gave him a call. We are a family run company and we like dealing with RVS because they are a family company too. You get a really personal service.
“When we need a new vehicle Spencer visits us and advises us on the right equipment. We always go with his recommendations and we use their hire vehicles to fill any gaps.”
To date AE Burgess has purchased 3 vehicles from RVS, two refuse vehicles and one front-end loader, with the fourth on the way.
